Recent meteoric advances in GenAI fuel fears of an out-of-control juggernaut and calls to rein in the tech before it goes rogue, with barely imaginable consequences. The Yuan will accordingly host a new article series next month themed: What can governments do to ensure safe AI?

HONG KONG - On the brink of a new era marked by the advent of powerful artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, The Yuan, an AI community committed to fostering meaningful discussions and advancements in AI, proposes to launch a comprehensive article discussion series on the pivotal topic of Government Roles in the AI Revolution. This initiative will celebrate the birth of transformative AI products, particularly highlighting the achievements of ChatGPT and other Generative AI (GenAI) developments.


Aims

Facilitate In-Depth Conversations: Create a platform for experts, enthusiasts, and thought leaders to engage in profound discussions on the functions of governments in shaping the AI revolution.

Celebrate Milestones: Commemorate the birth of ChatGPT and similar GenAI products as significant milestones in the AI field, reflecting on their impact and potential implications.

Educate and Inform: Provide valuable insights into the evolving landscape of AI governance and policy, while fostering a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with government involvement in AI development.
