Ernest Davis is professor of computer science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. His research focuses on commonsense reasoning for artificial intelligence, particularly spatial and physical reasoning. He is the author of four books, including the textbook Representations of Commonsense Knowledge.
