Etienne Charlier has 25 years of China experience, first as an executive in Alcatel and later as founder of procurAsia. Today, he is partner at Riverbanks, a M&A advisory firm, and a co-founder of Sinnolabs, a China acceleration program for European companies. Etienne is also very active in artificial intelligence, a field he discovered in 1998 when he worked on a project to design and build an integrated circuit to implement an artificial neural network.Etienne currently advises non-IT companies on AI and is a deep learning lecturer for Le Wagon and unpackAI. A Belgian national, Etienne holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelors in Philosophy from UCL and a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
