For those who fret that AI heralds an apocalyptic end to society in its current form, a powerful counterargument is that society cannot be preserved or improved without AI playing an outsized role. AI expert Simone Castello examines why this is indeed the case.

CAMBRIDGE, UK - The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) originated from the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development that was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2012. The aim was to create a set of universal goals to meet urgent environmental, political, and economic challenges across the world.

There are 17 goals in total:

-       No poverty

-       Zero hunger

-       Good health and wellbeing

-       Quality education
